Blogging Las Vegas!

Greetings everyone!

WXOU has arrived in Las Vegas for the 2010 NAB show and BEA conference. Myself and Justin Rumenapp will be blogging throughout the week here to give you a peak at some of the things we are checking out. First and foremost we’ll share with you daily updates on what is being displayed at the NAB show, as well as what is being discussed at the BEA conference, (mostly because we’re required to prove somehow that we were here.)

But, since this is also my personal blog, and not for any kind of class grade, we’ll also have some fun while meeting our requirements. We’ll tell you about some of the people we have run into and some of the stories that have occurred while on the trip.

In this case…what happens in Vegas, won’t necessarily stay in Vegas.

Stay tuned!

Facebook Ad Includes Photo Of 9/11 Terrorist

If you have a Facebook account, you know that Facebook occasionally displays ads that are relevant to you. WJR engineer Paul Roy saw this ad on his Facebook page today. The ad mentions that he was eligible for savings on auto insurance and includes a photo of a Michigan Drivers License.

No big deal right? WRONG!

If you look closer at the ad, you’ll see the Driver’s License includes a headshot of 9/11 terrorist Mohammad Atta!

Paul reported the inappropriate ad to Facebook. but later in the day the ad appeared again! Paul was able to grab this screenshot of the ad as it appeared on his page.

Looking For The Dr. Russi Log?

Since Russi-Watch seems to be winding down, and the original idea behind it was to get Oakland University President Dr. Gary Russi to appear on my radio program, which he did, I thought it would be a good time to combine The Dr. Russi Log website with my personal website / blog. If you’d like to view the Dr. Russi Log, you can click on the link below or by clicking on the Radio tab above..

This site will continue to feature updates with content related to The Erik Anderson Program and other events.
